Gardens of Grace has many projects that we are pursuing in an effort to create better communities and circumstances for those who have experienced loss. Many of our activities, particularly the founding of gardens, have associated costs. There are many ways you can support the work of Gardens of Grace.
Gardens of Grace is a community-based, and community led not-for-profit organization aimed squarely at providing social support for those who have suffered loss from miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant and child loss. We can only achieve our goals with community involvement – your involvement! There are many ways you can be a part of Gardens of Grace.
It is our aim at Gardens of Grace to support any who have lost their child, whether before, during or after birth, and any others who have been affected by the death of a baby. As our community grows, so will the support networks we will be able to provide you with.

Stacey Reid's effort was the first successful fundraising event held for Gardens of Grace. Between commission contributions from her Norwex business, and her felt crafts, In The Meadow, Stacey's donation totaled $123. You can visit her Etsy store HERE.
WHAT IS M-110?M-110 is a non-partisan motion that was passed in the House of Commons by Member of Parliament, Blake Richards on June 8th, 2018. The Standing Committee on Human Resources then had six months from June 8th to undertake a study of the impact on parents who have suffered the loss of an infant child, and to make recommendations to the government to improve the level of support for grieving parents and to seek to ensure parents no longer suffer any undue financial or emotional hardship as a result of the design of government programming.
That study took place in the fall of 2018, in the form of five sessions. The resulting report was tabled and presented to the House of Commons on February 7. The Standing Committee came up with seven recommendations that be undertaken in an effort to offer better supports and reduce the trauma many families experience when dealing with government services.
We are now waiting for the office of the Honorable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, to respond to the report.

Our annual Lights of Love service is being held December 6th at Christ Church, Dartmouth. It provides a family friendly evening of traditional carols, readings and musical performances. If you are not able to attend the Lights of Love service in person, you are welcome to name a snowflake in memory and make a donation to Gardens of Grace, creating a unique opportunity to further raise awareness about the issues surrounding pregnancy and baby loss in Nova Scotia.
